![]() ![]() ![]() Knowing about the history of how stuff was sent into space also helps, as there is a lot of lessons to be learned there, at least at the early level I am playing the game at. You don't need to be a space engineer to enjoy the game (hell, you don't even need to have graduated highschool, as I can prove ), as long as you aren't allergic to mathematics and are willing to jump back into it a bit, but the manoeuvre nodes (absent from the demo) might let you get around most of it. That being said, I looooved that demo, and if you didn't enjoy it, I highly doubt you will have a good time in the full game. If you enjoy tinkering and building this game is loads of fun and can be very challenging.Īs someone who had tons of issues building the simplest rocket in the demo (the parts just would not snap) and didn't buy the full game but a full year after that experience, I can confirm those issues are nearly absent from the full game. He has some great tutorials and some web series that really show off most of the finer points of the game. Mostly people will tell you to start on Youtube with people like Scott Manley, the official forums, and the wiki. I've read that they are going to be updated and retooled in the near furture as well. The full version has a few tutorials that do an ok job of getting your feet wet. Sadly the demo seems a bit wonky at times. Even if you create the shape that you want and click on the checkmark to finish, it might snap. However, it seems that the fairing system works on predetermined angles. Does the full version explain more? If I didn't like the demo, is there a chance I'll like the full version? Do I need to REALLY be into NASA/Rocket stuff to enjoy this? I LOVED Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts, if that helps. When the fairing is in position, you should click on the small wrench icon, which brings up two arrows that allow you to stretch the fairing in the direction you need it to go. Also, the tutorial was a bit less detailed than I'd like. They would only stick to the exact place I let to of the mouse, if that makes sense.
